Sri Neervanna Perumal and Ranganatha Perumal Temple, Thiruneermalai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

  • Sri Neervanna Perumal and Ranganatha Perumal Temple, Thiruneermalai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

There are two main Temples in Thiruneermalai, one at the foot hill and the other atop the Hill. The Temple at the foot hill is dedicated Lord Neervanna Perumal. He Blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Anima Malar Mangai Thayar. Lord Neer Vana Perumal can be found in a standing Posture. There are Sub Shrines for Lord Kalyana Ramar and Saint Aandal. While travelling up the hill Devotees can find the Sub Shrine of Lord Hanuman. The Presiding Deity at the hill top Temple  is none other than Lord Ranganathar.   He can be seen in a Pallikonda or Reclined state. He blesses His Devotees along with His Consort Goddess Ranaganayaki Thayar. Apart from Lord Ranganathar there are Sub Shrines for Lord Trivikrama Perumal and Lord Narashimar and both of them are seen in walking and sitting postures respectively. There is a Sub Shrine for Lord Garuda instead of Lord Hanuman before Lord Ranganathar and this makes it quite unique. This Temple is one of the 108 Divya Desam of Lord Vishnu. There are four Sacred Tanks namely Karunya Pushkarani, Swarna Pushkarani, Siddha Pushkarani and Ksheera Pushkarani.
